Highest Valuated Paintings ever

It is difficult to create a list of the highest valued paintings. The most famous paintings are generally owned by museums, most often not for sale and therefore priceless. However, "Mona Lisa" by Leonardo Da Vinci was insurance assessed for $100 million 1962. Taking inflation to account, that is about 770 million US dollar 2014. That is to be compared with the most expensive paintings ever sold in the second list below.
